On 15 April, in the amazing location of Tettuccio, an historic building at Montecatini Terme, the closing ceremony of the Bookfest took place. The event, which this year celebrates its 13th edition, is a famous national literary competition of topical essays on defense and security issues organized by the Lucca section of the UNUCI. During the ceremony, Professor Sergio Marchisio presented its book “The Law of Outer Space Activities” within the Premio Vega competition which is dedicated to editorial works dealing with aeronautical and space issues.

On 29 March 2023 the organisers held a video-interview with the five finalists to present their works to the audience (full video).

At the closing ceremony, the book of Prof. Marchisio was shortlisted among the top five finalists and received a special mention from the President of the jury, Gen. B.A. Giuseppe Addesa, acknowledging that the book is an outstanding contribution in the field of space law and that it is a must-have reading that illustrates the fundamental legal concepts of the law of space activities and offers an updated picture of its developments. Furthermore, the jury highlighted the important role of this book in guiding the future generations in this field.
