The International Astronautical Congress (IAC) is the most important international event in the space sector. Every year at a different location, the IAC brings together participants of all ages from all countries and fields of the space sector, including institutions, agencies, scientific community, academy, industry and press. Organised by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) and a local organiser that changes every year, and sponsored by numerous signatures, the IAC offers the space community a time and place to meet and exchange ideas, covering all space-related topics, brimming with opportunities for networking, forging partnerships, business, and personal enrichment, enabling everyone to learn more about the space world.

IAC 2024 Milan

This year, Milan will host the 75th edition of the IAC under the motto “Responsible space for sustainability” on the occasion of Italy’s 60th anniversary of the launch of its first satellite, San Marco 1, which marked the beginning of Italian activities in outer space. Since then, Italy has become a space power, consolidating its leading position in the space sector, and organising the 2024 IAC is an outstanding opportunity to celebrate this historical national goal.

From 14 to 18 October 2024, more than 8,000 experts from research, industry, institutions, and education will gather at the Milano Congress Center (Allianz MiCo), Europe’s largest conference venue, to engage in discussions on space. The Italian Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIDAA), the Italian Space Agency (ASI), and Leonardo, supported by AIM Group International and Italian institutions, promoted Milan to host the IAC 2024. Declared the winning city in October 2021, Milan is an excellent location for the IAC, with its vibrant culture, innovative and prevalently industry- and business-oriented spirit.
