The OSL Team is excited to share a great job opportunity within theĀ Population | Environment | DevelopmentĀ working group at the Department of Geography and Regional Research at the University of Vienna.

The Group is seeking aĀ Postdoctoral ResearcherĀ to join their team and advance research inĀ environmental and climate mobilities!

The position is ideal for a motivated and enthusiastic researcher with a strong theoretical and methodological background in this field. The successful candidate will engage in cutting-edge research, collaborate within international networks, and contribute to teaching and mentoring the next generation of scholars.

Key Highlights of the Role:

  • Conduct and publish innovative research in environmental and climate mobilities.
  • Actively collaborate with networks such as ECMN and a Knowledge Hub on Climate Mobilities.
  • Apply for ambitious third-party-funded projects (e.g., ERC, FWF).
  • Teach and supervise at BA, MA, and PhD levels.
  • Join an interdisciplinary and inspiring research environment in Vienna.

This position offers a 5-year fixed-term contract, flexible working conditions, and the chance to work with a committed team addressing socially relevant challenges in the field of climate and environmental change.
